Before AC Roskilde was founded, the crewmembers were from Roskilde Sailing club, Roskilde Rowing club and Roskilde Viking Museum. This was a partnership, between all the active associations around Roskilde Harbour, and gave a crew that knew all the techniques needed to operate the boat. Many of these people are now members of the current association, yet a great number of new faces have also joined. We welcome new members, as there is no demand for previous experience with rowing, sailing or seamanship – just that any new member is ready to dedicate themselves to learning necessary skills and working hard. Anyone can become a member of AC Roskilde, but Crewmembers are mainly between 16 and 23.
